Giving at Barrhead St Andrew’s
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". 2 Corinthians 9:7
Our ministry and our mission here at Barrhead St Andrew's is so dependent on the generous giving of many people within the church. As a leadership we are extremely grateful for such sacrificial generosity. We would encourage everyone in the church to review your own personal giving from time to time. The Bible is clear that we are all called to support the work of the church financially. We need to take this mandate seriously. Those of us who are members have also made this promise when we took your membership vows: I promise to give a fitting proportion of my time, my talents and my money for the Church's work in the world. Each individual needs to decide for themselves what is a fitting proportion, and where possible to give cheerfully rather than from a sense of compulsion.
The vast majority of people give to the Church through regular monthly standing order. However, envelopes can also be supplied if necessary to give through the weekly offering. Wherever possible, we always encourage people to Gift Aid their donations, meaning the Church can claim back another 25% as a registered charity. If you would like to find out more about giving, please contact Neilson our Finance Convenor. You can email him here.
