Roof renewal project
Work is still continuing on our roof renewal project, as we look to secure the necessary funding to take this forward. Over the past 2 weeks we have been awarded another £45,000 of funding towards the project. £20K has been allocated from Awards for All and another £25K from the National Churches Trust. This takes the total funds secured so far to a very impressive £299,500. A full breakdown of the funding secured so far is listed below. Huge thanks to the project team and especially to our Fabric Convenor Jim Glen for all their hard work behind the scenes.
Please do continue to give thanks and to pray for the success of this project. We are still awaiting full estimates of the works required, so we need to continue raising funds and trusting in God's provision. The Kirk Session have committed up to £100K of our own church funds towards the project. However, we would love to see this money not being needed because of our fundraising efforts. Any money raised over and above will also enable us to potentially expand the scope of the works at a high level and make the most of the disruption, i.e. replacement of old windows, implementation of energy efficiency measures, etc.
